These days, Dushanbe has become the center of attention of states, both developing tourism and offering their tourism opportunities. The capital managed to gather 90 domestic companies that actively promote the tourism industry in various areas - from mountain and health tourism to MICE tourism. The event attracted the attention of 20 foreign tourism companies from 16 countries.

Despite the fact that this is our first experience, it was a success, all events - exhibition, forum, master classes, meetings, negotiations, excursions were held at a very high organizational level. This is evidenced by the opinions of the participants and the final results.

At the DITE-2024 exhibition, which was held in the Dushanbe International Exhibition Center (Dushanbe Expo), tourism entities of Tajikistan, especially the city of Dushanbe, as well as its sister cities and partner cities, including travel companies, airlines, hotels and restaurants, health and wellness institutions, cultural, historical and entertainment institutions, presented their products and services.

Within the framework of DITE-2024, meetings in the B2B format (entrepreneur to entrepreneur) were also organized, new cooperation documents were signed, which contribute to the development of the tourism sector of the participating parties.

Within the framework of the forum, meetings in the B2B format were held between travel agencies, restaurants, and hotels, and a number of cooperation agreements were signed, which will further increase the flow of tourists.

It should be noted that in the first 6 months of 2024, 114,322 tourists visited Dushanbe through two border checkpoints alone. That is, compared to the same period in 2023, we managed to increase the figure by 22%. Holding such events allows us to familiarize the international community with our initiatives, benefits for investors, natural, architectural, historical heritage, increase the number of tourists and organize the departure of our citizens as tourists. In other words, the measures taken by the Government, competent departments and institutions are yielding significant results. The priority tasks set by the country's leadership - opening hotels, hostels, creating road maps and new tourist routes, improving transport accessibility, training personnel and much more - are being fulfilled. It is also important to note that all the necessary legislative and legal frameworks have been adopted.

Achievements in tourism in Dushanbe

Today, there is an increase in tourists from both near and far abroad. As a rule, many of them, before visiting the sights of Tajikistan, for example, the mountains of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, unique health resorts, first come to our capital - the city of Dushanbe. Our city has changed a lot over the years of State independence. Over these years, dozens of new modern facilities have been built - "Kokhi Navruz", the Istiklol complex, the National Library of Tajikistan, the National Museum, the main cathedral mosque, the buildings of the Government and Parliament, fountains, parks and squares that impress guests with their scale, beauty, national color and features. In addition, hundreds of high-rise buildings have been built. Our city is not only green, but also clean, we have new roads and the infrastructure necessary for tourists.
