Hotel-1★
A few rooms, minimal amenities and service level. The room has a bed, nightstand, chair, closet or hanger, mirror. Toilet and bathroom (shower) are shared on the floor. Guests receive 2 towels. Rooms cleaned daily, bed linen changed weekly.
Hotel-2★
Several rooms, minimal amenities and service level. Room has bed, nightstand, chair, closet or hanger, mirror. Room has toilet and bathroom (shower). Guests receive 2 towels. Rooms cleaned daily, bed linen changed weekly.
Hotel-3★
Good amenities and service level. Room has refrigerator, TV, telephone, vanity table, separate bathroom with shower or bath. May have air conditioning and mini-bar. Breakfast is mandatory. Rooms cleaned and towels changed daily, bed linen changed twice a week.
Hotel-4★
Excellent amenities and service level. Spacious rooms with various categories available. Rooms must have TV, refrigerator, AC, mini-bar, small safe, bathrobe, slippers, phone with inter-city calling. Separate bathroom with toiletries. Linen and towels changed daily. Dry cleaning, laundry, ironing available.
Hotel-5★
Highest comfort and service level. Spacious rooms, often multi-room, with luxurious furnishings. Bathroom has jacuzzi bath and shower cabin, quality cosmetics set, terry bathrobe and slippers. Room cleaning and linen change daily. Restaurants, shops, saunas, pools available.
Central Asia Specifics
In Central Asia, including Tajikistan, where 93% of the area is mountains, hotels do not always meet classification requirements. For example, many hotels have rooms with two single beds (80x190), but this does not mean the room must have two people.
Hostel
Inexpensive hotel with limited services, multi-bed rooms with shared bathroom.
Guesthouse
Two or three-story buildings with 20-30 rooms, homely atmosphere and small staff.
Hotel Garni
Hotel without restaurant (even without breakfast).
Tourist Class
Strictly boarding-type hotels for guests with very modest comfort requirements.
