SARI KHOSOR is a natural national park, the most beautiful corner of Tajikistan. The area of the park is 3805 hectares. Sari Khosor Nature Park is located in the south of Tajikistan and is distinguished by unique natural resources and mountain mesophilic broad-leaved forests that have been preserved in Tajikistan.
The Sarikhosor Nature Park is truly unique, mountain forests consisting of walnut (Juglans regia), a number of species of wild fruit trees and shrubs are particularly rich. The relief of Sari Khosor is very complex and differs in its diversity from the relief of other regions of the country. The landscape structure of Sari Khosor consists of low mountains, mountain slopes and high mountains. Sari Khosor is rich in recreational resources. Unique historical and natural monuments have been preserved here, which give a clear idea of the life, everyday life, traditions and folk crafts of the inhabitants of this region.
Amazing harmony reigns in this truly wonderful corner: forests of fruit trees on both sides of the gorge are adjacent to lush meadows and stone massifs of rocks. A water stream originating from the mountain peaks, flowing along the entire gorge, feeds the valley. Transparent springs, shady hazel groves, perennial plane trees and a variety of wildlife, and above all this an azure dome of cloudless sky.
The population of several villages located in the valley is not numerous. These people are adapted to the conditions in which they have been living for generations for more than a century. Therefore, they have long learned to live in peace and harmony with nature, not to oppose, but to promote its transformation, not to be creators, but obedient children.
Another of the unique places of the valley is the waterfall. A waterfall cascade falls from a height of 50 meters, scattering millions of splashes around it, shimmering in the sun with all the colors of the rainbow.
The length of this route (one side) is 165 km (4-hour drive). The type of transport is determined depending on the number of tour participants and their comfort /order – an SUV, a bulky vehicle or a horse-drawn vehicle.
The road is mountainous, riverine, there are dangers in some places. Weather: 0-10 °C in winter, 10-25 °C in spring, 30-40 °C in summer, 10-25 °C in autumn. Surface height above sea level: 2000 meters.

- Hulbuk Fortress
- On the way to Kulyab we will visit the Hulbuk Fortress (165 km from Dushanbe). From the 9th to the 11th centuries, the Hulbuk Fortress was located in the center of one of the four largest cities in Central Asia, it was the residence of Shah (King) Khatlon. The citadel was guarded by a giant salt hill, which at that time was of great importance as the source of one of the three precious resources (along with gold and horses) traded on the Silk Roads.
- Mir Saeed Alii Hamadoni mavsoleum
- In the center of the city of Kulyab, in the park area, there is a memorial complex of Mir Said Ali Hamadoni - a poet, philosopher and thinker of the 14th century. His son Muhammad, relatives, as well as Sheikh Shokhi Tolikoni from the Afghan city of Tolukan, a former inspector of the mausoleum and mosque, are also buried there.
- SULTON UVAYSI QARANI
- Uvays-i Karani is a cult complex in the district center of Khovaling (Khatlon region, Republic of Tajikistan), associated with the name of the legendary Yaman ascetic from among the “followers” (tabi’un) of the Prophet Muhammad, "God's saint" (valiy) Uvais al-Karani (probably killed in 37/657), who became famous for his special piety and respectful attitude towards the Messenger. The earliest written references to him are in al-Musnad Ahmad b. Khanbala (780-855) and at-Tabaqat al-Kubra Ibn Sada. The biography of Uwais al-Qarani and the legends connected with him are given in the well-known biographical work of Farid ad-din ʻAttar (killed in 1220) Tazkirat al-awliyya. Mazar hazrat Uvays-i Karani in Khovaling is the main object of pilgrimage not only for the local population, it is also actively visited by residents of other regions of Tajikistan.
