The Safed-Dara Ski Complex was founded in 1976 and provides sports, tourism and skiing services. The resort is located at a distance of 50 km from Dushanbe.
The Safed-Dara Mountain resort is located on a unique, hilly plateau at an altitude of 3050 meters above sea level. Clear sunny weather, always fresh mountain breeze makes this place ideal for all-season holidays. The breathtaking mountain landscape, the most beautiful blue sky pull everyone who has ever spent a holiday in Safed-Dar to come back here again. All infrastructure - a good hotel, ski lifts, ski and snow slopes, cafes. The word “Safed-Dara” from the Tajik language is translated as "White Gorge" which means a white place.
The Safed-Dara with special attention and consistency began to function at the end of 2016 Safed-Dara, with the participation of the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in a new design. In this area, many services have been built, sports halls and playgrounds are located on an area of 60 hectares, which can simultaneously accommodate up to 1000 people.
In Safa-Dara, mainly on winter days, as well as at other times of the year, tourists are offered the following services, as: Two cableways (in 3050 m.); Skiing; Skates; Snowboarding; Skis and snowmobile; Zip-line; Paintball; Hotel; Pool; SPA; Restaurant; Conference room and other services.
The ski track in the complex from the lower to the upper part is 30 km, it can be used not only by beginner athletes, but also by professional skiers of international and regional level.
On the territory of the complex there are 10 one- and two-story cottages built in a modern style. In particular, 6 of them are built from modern building products, and the remaining 4 are made from European-style round timber. The cottages provide sleeping places from 4 to 8 people. Also nearby, near the upper station of the cable car at an altitude of 2590 meters, the “Chaman” restaurant was built in the national style with more than 100 seats.
Along with this, a new building was built in the complex, which houses a medical center, a cash desk and an information communications management server.
Safed-Dara is now a whole tourist complex; Modern hotel, restaurant, ski slopes, new cable cars, snowmobile parking. A special children's and youth school for winter sports has also opened on the territory of the complex.
